Fall is a time of transitions. Weather getting cooler, leaves changing colour and falling, and boats coming out of the water to get ready for hibernation.
Seeing your boat out of the water can be a sad time for boaters but now is the time to plan for next year! By now you have renewed your slip for the next boating season, booked winterizing services, removed loose valuables from your vessel, and bid it adieu for another year. Once your boat is winterized and tucked into storage for the off-season it can be a great time to research trips, tips, and techniques for the upcoming boating season. It can help alleviate the longing to be on the water and can get your boating season off with a head start in the Spring.
Is there a boat trip you have always wanted to do but never thought you had time to plan? Have you been eyeing a new graphic for your boat? Start organizing/sourcing/planning now!
Another big transition at this time of year is our changing office hours! As of November 1st, 2017 we will no longer be open on weekends and our office will be closed as of December 1st, 2017 (you can catch us by appointment or by chance only from then until the Spring).
Thank you for another great season at Cooks Bay Marina and we are looking forward to a fantastic 2018 with lots of exciting things planned!
