Where are you located?

We are located on Cooks Bay, which is on beautiful Lake Simcoe. In the town of Gilford, Innisfil.

Is there any place to buy food in the marina or should I bring my own?

Yes, there is! We have a great Food Truck in the marina with a portion of delicious foods.

Opening Hours:
FRIDAY – SUNDAY 11:00am – 7:00pm.

Friendly tip:
– You should try the ice cream. You won’t regret it at all! <3

Can I go for fishing at the lake shore at CBM?

Spring: $10 per person.

Summer (Monday – Friday only): $10 per person. The fishing is over at our sailboats point, towards the lake, not the canal. (Must be out of boats)

Winter: Ice fishing season, where we rent out huts and provide a shuttle to the lake.

How much is to launch a boat?

We have a new ramp ready for launching your boat and the prices are:

> Season pass: $250 + HST
The season pass includes ramp and parking until October 31

> Day Launch:
$ 20 + $ 10 (parking) Tax incl.

Do I have to book and pay in advance to launch a boat?

For your convenience to use the ramp at the time you have booked it, we encourage you to book and reserve the launch time https://cooksbaymarina.com/launch-ramp. But, for your convenience, you are able to pay for this at our store by cash, credit or debit.

I do not have a boat license, can I rent a boat anyway?

Yes, you can. However, you must check the required experience for the rental.

We recommend you take your own boat license, but if you couldn’t take it, we can provide a provisory license for the period you rent the boat with us.

What are the operation hours?

Office hours:
– Monday to Friday
From 8 am to 4 pm

– Saturday, Sunday and Holidays:
From 7 am to 8 pm

Does the marina provide life jackets for those who booked a boat?

Yes, we do, and it is mandatory wearing those.

When I rent a boat, can I tow a tube, float or any other items behind it?

Unfortunately, you cannot tow any items behind the boat. You can enjoy your day by touring or swimming.

Do you have life jackets for pets?

No, we don’t have. However, even if you have your pet life jackets we do not take any responsibility regards your pet security.

What time can I get at the Marina to launch my boat?

Even though we are open since 6 am, we start launching after 7 am.

I would like to get my own boat license. What should I do?

Is the marina pet-friendly?

Yes, you and your pets are welcome at Cooks Bay Marina.

Please note that you are responsible for cleaning up after your own pets, and you are responsible for their safety and well-being. We charge $95/hr for excessive cleaning.

Can I drink on the boat or in the marina?

Any kind of alcoholic beverage is not allowed either at the marina facilities or on boats (we have the right to inspect your coolers). We also will not provide service to any customer that is impaired or intoxicated.

I had an issue and need to cancel a boat rental I had made. What is the procedure?

First, check out our CANCELATION POLICY below:

  • No cancellation fee if you cancel at least 48 hours before your reservation.
  • If you cancel at least 24 hours before your reservation, we keep the 25% deposit.
  • The total amount of your boat rental will be charged if you fail to cancel your rental and do not show up for your rental on the day of.

Second, knowing the policy, please send an e-mail to info@cooksbaymarina.com with your cancellation inquiry.

What is the minimum age to drive a Jet Ski?

All Sea-Doo rentals are for customers that are 25 years old. A valid ID will be checked.

Do you provide bait or minnows to fishing?

We sell worms in the summer and minnows in the winter.
