Safety Tips

We want to remind all of our members to drive their boats with caution to prevent collisions. Following the recent tragic boat crash in Ontario, it’s crucial to stress the importance of safety guidelines and best practices for individuals renting boats. Here are some recommendations:

1. Observe Speed Limits: Always adhere to posted speed limits and slow down in narrow channels and crowded areas.
2. Avoid Distractions: Keep music and conversations at a reasonable level to maintain awareness of your surroundings.
3. Know the Area: Familiarize yourself with the local waterway, including any narrow channels or hazardous areas.
4. Avoid Alcohol and Drugs: Do not operate a boat under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
5. Wear Life Jackets: Ensure all passengers wear life jackets at all times.

Be Aware!
