The best day of the year for our Sailors is finally here: Lift In Day!

Sailboats have a keel that extends into the water below the boat. This keel holds the ballast that keeps the boat upright, and helps to stop the boat from blowing sideways. There are several different kinds of keels and some of the sailboats that moor with us have a fixed keel. These boats cannot go into the water on a trailer at the ramp like others and require a crane, or lift, to get into the water to start their season. Today we had the crane at the Marina for Lift In 2018 and we could not be more excited.

Many thanks, as always, to our amazing Lift In Crew that helped the morning go smoothly. The Marina sure is starting to look like Summer is here!
